Are your door knockers made from brass?

Yes, our door knockers are made from solid brass components, giving them weight, durability and a natural resistance to corrosion. Each piece is assembled and finished by hand in our Devon workshop.

Are your hanging decorations made from solid brass?

No, our hanging decorations are made from recycled aluminium with a fine brass coating. This allows for detailed casting while keeping the pieces light enough to hang beautifully on a tree, peg rail or around the home.

Are your decorative bowls and trinket boxes made from solid brass?

Our decorative bowls and trinket boxes feature a solid brass lid. The trinket boxes have an acacia wood base, while the decorative bowls have a recycled aluminium base with a durable powder-coated finish. They are designed to be both functional and decorative, suitable for storing jewellery, keys and small everyday items.

How do I fit a door knocker?

Our door knockers are surface-mounted and supplied with the necessary fixings and instructions. They can be fitted to wooden doors and solid-core composite doors. You can view our fitting guide here.

Do I need to drill through my door?

No, our door knockers are surface-mounted, so there is no need to drill all the way through your door.

Will your door knockers fit a composite door?

Our door knockers are suitable for solid-core composite doors. If you are unsure about your door, please get in touch and we will be happy to advise.

Do you supply replacement parts for your door knockers?

Yes, if you require a replacement part, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.

Do you supply matching door furniture?

We do not currently offer matching door furniture, but we are always happy to advise if you are looking to coordinate finishes.

Care

Will brass tarnish?

Yes, brass will naturally develop a patina over time. This is part of its character and can be left to age, or polished with a suitable metal cleaner to maintain a brighter finish.

How do I care for my door knocker?

Care will depend on the finish you have chosen. We recommend following the care instructions provided with your product. Further details can be found here.

How do I care for hanging decorations?

Our hanging decorations are designed for interior use. They can be gently wiped with a soft, dry cloth and should be kept away from moisture.

How do I care for decorative bowls and trinket boxes?

The solid brass lids can be polished with a suitable metal cleaner or left to develop a natural patina. Wooden bases can be wiped with a soft, dry cloth and treated occasionally with a natural wood oil. Decorative bowl bases can be wiped clean with a soft, damp cloth. They are not suitable for use in an oven, microwave or dishwasher.

How long does delivery take?

We aim to dispatch orders as quickly as possible. Delivery times vary depending on the product and destination, and shipping options are shown at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

Are all your products presented in a wooden gift box?

Our door knockers, trinket boxes and decorative bowls are presented in wooden gift boxes. Our hanging decorations are packaged in a linen gift bag.
