This brass Victorian door knocker is christened Winslow, it’s a heavier and chunkier version of Vida, the other brass Victorian door knocker in our collection. It is designed with the same elegant curve as Vida but has a hexagonal form to its body. A quintessentially English brass knocker, it will radiate a sense of quality and tradition as visitors approach your front door. Winslow would be the perfect addition to a period property, particularly a Regency townhouse.

Fitting your door knocker

Fitted using an easy surface mounted fixing, there are no visible screws on either side of the door. Our door knockers are suitable for wood doors as well as solid core composite doors and all screws and fittings are supplied.

FINISH OPTIONS

Aged Brass

A vintage appearance is achieved using a natural chemical-free patination process. A clear sealant is applied which protects your door knocker and prevents it from tarnishing. This is a thin and durable coating that, unlike a lacquer, will not crack or peel. It also gives protection against acid rain and salt air. No need for metal cleaning products, just wipe with a soft cloth periodically.

Polished Brass

Our polished door knockers show brass in its natural state. After casting they are highly polished until very bright and shiny. This finish can be maintained using a metal cleaner and soft brush or if left unpolished your door knocker will tarnish and age naturally. If you’d like your door knocker to remain highly polished without regular cleaning, we can add our protective sealant. Please let us know by making a note at checkout.

Raven Black

We apply a patina to the brass which creates a soft black finish that has a matt appearance. The brass is baked and the colour is left to mature before we add our sealant to protect the finish. Little maintenance is required, just wipe periodically with a soft cloth.

Satin Silver

We use a metal plating process over the brass to achieve a stylish silver with a matt finish. Our sealant is applied to protect the finish. Little maintenance is required, just wipe periodically with a soft cloth and warm soapy water
